Shandra Ward serves as the CEO/Principal Designer of Signature Designs Interiors + Events + Custom Decor, with a career spanning over two decades in the design industry. Her portfolio showcases captivating interiors crafted for clients nationwide and beyond. Inspired by a lineage steeped in creativity — her father, a structural engineer; her mother, exceptionally crafty; and her stylish grandmother — she embarked on a journey to be a designer of all things beautiful.

Education:
Shandra's artistic passion ignited at Texas Southern University, where she immersed herself in Art History under the mentorship of esteemed curator Dr. Alvia Wardlaw. Collaborating with fellow alum Rickey Donato, she co-founded an art gallery in Houston's vibrant 3rd Ward, nurturing budding artists and fostering their exhibition experiences. Her education in art and design continued at Houston Community College, earning an AAS in Interior Design, and culminated with a BA from the Art Institute of Houston, deepening her expertise in the field.

Design Experience:
Launching her career as a set designer for local theaters and crafting captivating storefront windows, Shandra honed her skills. She undertook diverse projects, including showroom design for prominent furniture retailers and collaborating with architects on multimillion-dollar ventures. Recognizing her talent for crafting living spaces that seamlessly blend beauty with functionality, she established her own design firm, Signature Designs Interiors Events & Custom Decor, infusing each project with a unique and refreshing perspective.

Other Design Skills:
Beyond interiors, Shandra's creative prowess extends to event design, earning her the prestigious title of "Event Designer of the Year 2011" from the Houston Association of Event Planners. She also lends her expertise as a graphic designer, crafting impactful branding materials for small businesses. Not content with traditional mediums, she launched Party Elements, an online collection of handcrafted chic party decor.

In addition to her design ventures, combining her talents in event design, set styling, graphic design, and now real estate, she's poised to offer a comprehensive array of services for homeowners. With her diverse skill set, she can truly transform all types of spaces. Her commitment to creating beauty in all aspects of life continues to drive her as she ventures into new territories, expanding her influence in the realm of design.
